Sex with a double. Celebrities who DIDN’T DARE to appear in EROTIC SCENES

The reasons why artists decide to use replacements are different, sometimes extremely different.

The film, apart from providing us with a lot of entertainment, sometimes brazenly uses our inattention. For the comfort of the creators or actors, it often uses small screen lies. One of them is the presence of doubles. Nude scenes, sex sequences are not easy even for experienced actors. As it turns out, body doubling is not uncommon in the film industry. The services of understudies were used by such stars as Mila Kunis, Emilia Clarke, Keira Knightley and Willem Dafoe. However, the reasons why artists decide to use replacements are different, sometimes extremely different. The most important thing is that this change of roles is imperceptible to the viewer. So it’s worth checking which movie deceived you, because you melted over the body of a given actor or actress, and in fact it belonged to a modest understudy.

Jessica Biel, London

The American often included a clause in the contracts that provided her with an understudy in nude scenes. Hunter Richards’ 2005 independent film London was no different. The role of the understudy was played by Vanessa Motta, who saved the actress from performing in an embarrassing sex scene. In Cosmopolitan, Biel explained that she did not like the director’s idea of close-ups on the breasts and buttocks. “I believed that such things should not extend beyond the bedroom and should be guaranteed only to my husband and not to everyone,” she explained. She also mentioned how unpleasant it was to judge the breasts of potential body doubles. “There are so many different shapes of breasts. I never thought about that. You’re used to what yours look like,” she added. Three years later, however, Justin Timberlake’s future wife showed off her body in a scene of a striptease from the movie Blue Rain.

Lindsay Lohan, Machete

Very often, the presence of a double on the screen is almost unnoticeable. Skilful editing and precise matching of the double make the viewers not notice that they have been deceived for a moment. However, this is not the case with the 2010 film Machete. Its star, Lindsay Lohan, decided to use an understudy for the nudity scenes. Therefore, it quickly turned out that in the memorable scene in which the titular Machete Cortez covers passionate kisses naked Lindsay Lohan and her on-screen mother standing waist-deep in blue water against the backdrop of a charming waterfall, there is no Lindsay Lohan. The creators mistakenly assumed that if they put a short blonde wig on the understudy, no viewer would know. Unfortunately, the change is visible to the naked eye. It is also striking that in the scenes where the naked April Booth, played by Lohan, speaks her lines, her hair suddenly subtly covers her charms. However, the prudishness of the actress, who in 2010 used the services of an understudy, and in 2012 decided to do a nude photo shoot for “Playboy” is puzzling.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Shallow Hal

Another artist who decided to double because of her lower body was Gwyneth Paltrow. The star of Peter and Bobby Farrelly’s Shallow Hal decided to use a replacement, explaining that she simply doesn’t like her buttocks and doesn’t want to show them on camera. An understudy was used, among others, in the scene where the camera is behind the protagonist Rosemary Shanahan, tantalizingly unhooking her bra in front of her on-screen partner (played by Jack Black), who is waiting for her in bed. The buttocks, which the camera clearly emphasizes, do not belong to the actress. Although there is no reason to criticize Paltrow for her decision, the very idea of hiring a body double seems incomprehensible, especially when you think about what values this comedy is about. It raises the topic of accepting your body and the stigmatization of people suffering from obesity. The main character of the film sees his clearly obese partner (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) as a sexy, attractive, shapely woman. Even though the actress was required to wear a costume that imitated her character’s far too broad body, Paltrow’s real buttocks still needed tweaking.

Mila Kunis, Friends with Benefits

As the title suggests, there is no shortage of sex scenes in Will Gluck’s comedy. Despite everything, Justin Timberlake’s on-screen partner, Mila Kunis, did not dare to reveal her nudity in front of the camera. She openly admitted that she decided to help the understudy in undressed scenes, including moments that present women’s naked buttocks. She explained her decision that it was too much for her, she wanted to expose her body piece by piece. She also shared what a major undertaking it was to choose a body double for the scenes showing her backside. “Young women were waiting in the casting room where I came with the casting director and makeup artist”, she confessed in an interview conducted on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show. “These nice ladies showed us their butts; the girl we chose had a body closest to mine, because we wanted to avoid the impression of falsehood.

Isla Fisher, Wedding Crashers

Although the actress’s husband Sacha Baron Cohen had no qualms about undressing on the screen, Isla Fisher decided to use the help of an understudy during the sex scene in David Dobkin’s wedding comedy Wedding Crashers. We are talking about a sequence of erotic close-ups between the heroine of Gloria Cleary and Jeremy Gray played by Vince Vaughn. Although the actress, after all, playing the role of a sexually inexperienced temptress, shows some of her body, in the characteristic moment of a clear close-up on the breast and nipple erection she was replaced by a body double. Fisher had a good explanation for why she did not decide to reveal her charms. She stated that if she showed her breasts to viewers, she would stop being funny to them and become mostly a sexual object.
